Welcome to the "Fat Pigeon" a boutique B&B guest house at beautiful Lake Tarawera, near Rotorua in North Island.

It's on the bottom level of our own home, but is completely private and self contained with its own carpark and outdoor area.You can rent a room or the whole flat. You are welcome to prepare your own meals. Some meals may be available to have with us, by arrangement. The house is nestled on a hillside; surrounded by native forest and with an abundance of native birds. Awake to the orchestra of birdsong.

The lake is just across the road from The Fat Pigeon. It's a deep, clean lake surrounded by pristine rainforest. It's perfect for kayaking, boating, swimming and fishing. There are also many walks in the area. We have kayaks and bikes available for you to use free of charge.

There are three bedrooms downstairs; two double rooms and the third has three single beds. THE PRICE IS $40 for one person and $80 for a double.
If you want to rent the whole flat, the price is from $110 to $150 depending on high or low season.
